Liberty Proffit Day grew up on her family's ranch in Western Wyoming. One of five girls, with one brother, she grew up learning the skills necessary to work on the ranch with her family that would inspire her future as she built an inseparable relationship with the land, the animals and the culture of western life.

Liberty attended the University of Wyoming for three years and graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Visual Arts and a minor in Communications. She married David Day and began her family while continuing her career as an artist.

Her unique style of representing this culture through watercolor can be seen in galleries across Nevada, Utah and Wyoming. Among her achievements, Liberty has already had several solo shows in Wyoming and Nevada, has been the featured artist in Western Shadows Art Gallery in Evanston, Wyoming and was asked to speak and paint an original work for the Stewards of the Range Annual Conference in Reno, Nevada, Liberty's artwork has also been published in several periodicals including "Range" magazine and "The Cornerstone."
