Buckeye
Blake grew up on the rodeo circuit. His father was a rodeo
rider. Now Blake is one of the best-known artists in and
of the West. During the fall of 1993, at the Buffalo Bill
Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming, his work was the subject
of the first one-man show given by a living artist since
1986. Exhibition curator Sarah Boehme says Blake "conveys
a sense of timelessness to show that the Old West was never
completely left behind."
Fans of Blake's work include writer Thomas McGuane and businessmen-ranchers
Dan Lufkin, James Taggart and Herbert Allen. Limited edition
prints and posters by Buckeye Blake are also available.
